COURSE DESCRIPTION

Union with Christ is a doctrine that has, by and large, been forgotten in the church. It is, however, foundational to the understanding of our salvation. We talk a lot about the benefits of our union with Christ, such as justification, sanctification, adoption, and glorification. But often view those things as separate, disjointed blessings, rather than one whole packet of salvation – wrapped in the person of Christ, in Whom we have been engrafted into. This misunderstanding is the reason why we often doubt our salvation, fall into liberalism and/or legalism, and experience long periods of spiritual dryness. John Murray says that “nothing is more central or more basic than union with Christ, it is the central truth of the whole doctrine of salvation.” To which Charles Spurgeon echoes: “There is no joy in this world like the joy of being one with Christ. The more we feel our union with him, the more our soul leaps for joy." Join us in this journey to dive deeper into not only another doctrine, but into the splendor of the One in Whom we have been engrafted.
